The Department of Medicine, Division of Neurology at Michael Garron Hospital (MGH), part of Toronto East Health Network (TEHN), is seeking a full-time Neurologist to join a collaborative and growing division. MGH is a community teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Toronto and Toronto Metropolitan University, serving one of Canada’s most diverse communities. The successful candidate will contribute to high-quality neurological care across inpatient and outpatient settings and support the academic, quality, and service mission of the Department of Medicine.

The successful candidate must hold a Medical Degree, MBBS or equivalent thereto and certification in Neurology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or hold equivalent specialist qualifications that support eligibility for licensure in Ontario. The candidate must be eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and for appointment to the medical staff at Michael Garron Hospital. Evidence of excellent clinical judgment, strong interprofessional collaboration, and a commitment to patient-centred care in a diverse community setting is required.
This is a full-time clinical appointment based at Michael Garron Hospital. The successful candidate will provide neurological care in outpatient clinics, inpatient neurology consultation and service responsibilities, and equitable participation in the neurology call schedule. The role includes performance and interpretation of electroencephalography (EEG) studies and other customary neurology-related clinical duties consistent with the candidate’s qualifications, hospital privileges, and divisional requirements. Professional activities are expected to represent a full-time clinical commitment, with service allocation determined by operational requirements and divisional leadership.

The successful candidate will be expected to participate in divisional and departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and other professional responsibilities associated with membership in the Division of Neurology. A demonstrated commitment to medical education, including teaching and supervision of trainees where applicable, is expected. Participation in scholarly, quality improvement, and hospital committee activities is encouraged and will be considered an asset.
