Shared Health and the Department of Psychiatry are inviting applications for a Family Physician to provide health maintenance and medical care to inpatients at the Selkirk Mental Health Centre (SMHC). In conjunction with the treatment team psychiatrist, the family physician will perform the medical admission, assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge management of patients requiring psychiatric care. Knowledge of medications and their effects on physical and psychiatric disorders is required.
Responsibilities include admission history and physical examination, conducting ward rounds, consulting with medical specialists within and outside the Centre, reporting/planning with interdisciplinary team and family members and other duties as determined. The position reports to the Medical Director of the facility.

Qualifications:
• Registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba
• CCFP certified or eligible

Compensation:
Compensation is per Doctors Manitoba agreement.
