Shared Health (1800-330 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg MB R3C 0C4 ) and the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (4th Floor, 650 Main Street, Winnipeg, MB R3B 1E2) is seeking two permanent Pediatric Fellowship Trained Anesthesiologists interested in an integrated approach to providing superior clinical care, education and research in Anesthesiology. Successful candidates are provided with a Faculty appointment at the commensurate level in the Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine, Max Rady College of Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Manitoba. The Section of Pediatric Anesthesia provides tertiary intraoperative and perioperative care for all pediatric surgical subspecialties except cardiac, offsite services for multiple medical and diagnostic procedures and has an active acute pain service. The position includes provision of clinical anesthesia care and the education of medical students, residents and fellows affiliated with the Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine and the Max Rady College of Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Manitoba. Job duties are required in English.

Qualifications:

Successful candidates must hold a Doctor of Medicine Degree and must be certified, or eligible for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, have completed postgraduate Fellowship training in Pediatric Anesthesia (a minimum one year’s duration) and be deemed eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. Experience is preferred.

Compensation:

Compensation is derived from fee-for-service income (approximately $400,000 to 600,000). A daily minimum income guarantee is included. No benefits available at this time.
