The Moncton Hospital, a facility within Horizon Health Network, is recruiting a Family Medicine Physician with an interest in Infectious Diseases to join our collaborative team in Moncton, New Brunswick. The hospital functions as a tertiary referral center for Infectious Diseases for Eastern New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island, and is the principal HIV referral center for the Province. A typical weekly schedule will include: The successful candidate will work primarily in the outpatient clinic with a focus on key ID programs including HIV, viral hepatitis, sexually transmitted infection, pre and post exposure prophylaxis (including PREP for HIV), and immigrant/refugee/employee health. The successful candidate may also be involved in the follow up of general infectious disease cases on an inpatient and outpatient basis after initial consultation by the infectious disease consultant. Having a dedicated family physician in our outpatient clinic will allow FRCPC ID docs to focus on patients of higher acuity both on an inpatient and outpatient basis. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with the ID team who will provide training and ongoing CME related to the candidate’s clinical practice. The ideal candidate will be very comfortable working with diverse patients include those with substance use disorder, housing and financial insecurity, immigrants and refugees, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. |

| Remuneration |
Standard remuneration is a salaried model. No source deductions can be provided. However, under special circumstances, with approval from the Department of Health of New Brunswick, a fee-for-service model may be available which is a direct compensation between the physician and Medicare of New Brunswick. This may range between a minimum of $245, 856 to a maximum of $268, 346 annually (excluding benefits and source deductions) based on qualifications and experience. Locums receive 10% in lieu of benefits. On-call remuneration is fee for service.
