Details: Health Sciences Centre Winnipeg, MB, CA R3A 1R9 The Department of Internal Medicine, Max Rady College of Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Manitoba are seeking applicants to fill the above Endowed Research Chair in Health Services Design and Quality Improvement. The purpose of the Endowed Chair is to provide leadership, scholarship, and mentorship in the area of health service design and quality improvement. Establishment of the Endowed Chair allows the Department of Internal Medicine, Max Rady College of Medicine: • To recruit an experienced leader with demonstrated expertise in health services design and quality improvement and a track record in related scholarly activity. Candidates appointed to the position must have a history or excellence in scholarly activity in health services (re)design and quality improvement as evidenced by a strong track record of successfully completed projects, respective knowledge translation, publications, or attraction of extramural funds to support them. Candidates must have a history of effective and productive collaboration with intramural and extramural investigators and institutions. They must have teaching experience and a history or mentoring students, junior colleagues and investigators. They will have a commitment to advancing equity, access and participation through action in research, practice, mentorship and collegiality. This is a contingent position and will commence as soon as possible for a term of five years. The renewal of the appointment for additional terms, conditional upon available funds, will occur in the final year of the term subject to a successful review of the incumbent’s performance within the context of the Department of Internal Medicine’s Research Review policy. A successful MD or MD/PhD applicant must be eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. Candidates will be a Canadian Citizen or permanent resident and hold a current academic appointment at the academic rank of an Assistant Professor or higher. Salary and rank will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
