Experienced Family Physician required OHS Fly-In program area. Willing to work independently with nursing staff.

Pukatawagan (Mathias Colomb): 820 air kilometers northwest of Winnipeg.

Population: Over 2235

Physicians deploy from Winnipeg to community through chartered aircrafts, Monday morning returning Thursday evening.

In-province travel and accommodations covered by organization.

Out of province travel paid with physicians holding 0.25 FTE (1 week monthly).

Out of province travel paid for locum providers with a commitment of 2 consecutive weeks (12 days).

Qualifications:

Must hold licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba, or eligible for licensure. Current membership in the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)

Certifications:

Must have current Advanced Life Support (ACLS) Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) (within 6 months of hire) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (within 6 months of hire) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) (within 6 months of hire) Indigenous cultural awareness course (within 6 months of hire) Manitoba Opioid Antagonist Therapy (OAT) course or equivalent is encouraged

Skills/Abilities

Strong health assessment and clinical skills are required Excellent leadership, critical thinking and collaborative interpersonal skills Must be self-motivated and able to work independently, working as a member of a health care team alongside extended practice nurses, paramedics and other allied professionals Must demonstrate an appreciation of Indigenous worldviews, cultures and be sensitive in providing anti-racist, trauma- informed care. Must be able to prioritize, manage time effectively and be flexible. Must possess a dependable, consistent and reliable work record, including attendance at work.

Compensation:
Compensation is remunerated as per Doctors Manitoba
