Position profile – The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) – Saskatoon Area, in collaboration with the University of Saskatchewan, Department of Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine (GIM), is seeking General Internal Medicine specialists to provide locum services on a temporary basis to support inpatient and consultative services at Saskatoon City Hospital (SCH). The General Internal Medicine (GIM) locum will be responsible for inpatient admitting and consultation services SCH.
Remuneration:
• Compensation for temporary locum service delivery $17,853 per week (7 days per week) of inpatient service delivery, prorated for partial weeks; plus up to $2500 per day for consultative services at SCH
• Round trip economy airfare or mileage
• $20 per hour while engaged in travel per round trip
• Accommodations up to $200 per night
Qualifications/Requirements of the position – The successful applicants will hold certification in Internal Medicine with the Royal College of Physicians of Canada, or hold the American Board certification, and be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan.
