Description of Practice / Job:

Old Scona Medical Centre is a well-established, high-volume primary care clinic located in central Edmonton. We are currently recruiting a Family Physician through the CPSA/AHS Sponsorship Program. This opportunity is ideal for internationally trained physicians who have a current CPSA eligibility letter or are in the final stages of obtaining one.

Our clinic is open 7 days a week, including evenings, and offers both scheduled appointments and walk-in services. We serve a diverse, loyal patient population and are supported by a collaborative team and experienced administrative staff.

Duties:

Full-scope family medicine

Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions

Provide preventive care, health education, immunizations, and screenings

See both walk-in and booked patients

Review interpreted lab and imaging results

Refer to specialists and collaborate with allied health professionals

Use HealthQuest EMR for documentation and billing

Participate in clinic operations and quality improvement

Qualifications:

Must have a CPSA eligibility letter (sponsorship pathway)

Eligible for licensure in Alberta

Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical skills

Comfortable working in a busy, collaborative care setting
