The University of Manitoba, Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, Winnipeg Regional Health Authority and Shared Health Manitoba invite applications for a full-time academic Head and Neck Surgeon to commence on December 1, 2025 (or on a date mutually agreed upon).

This is a GFT position appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, Max Rady College of Medicine at the University of Manitoba. Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The position encompasses inpatient and ambulatory patient care responsibilities and requires individuals with clinal and teaching skills to further the aims of the undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research and tertiary care medicine.

The position will be located primarily at Health Science Centre and CancerCare Manitoba, with secondary responsibility at other sites within the Region including St. Boniface General Hospital, and Victoria General Hospital.

The Program incorporates a rich mix of emergent and elective Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. The Health Sciences Centre Winnipeg provides comprehensive Otolaryngology care to a population base of over 1.2 million people from Manitoba, Nunavut and Northwestern Ontario.

Candidates must have specialty qualifications in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery and/or General Surgery in the country of current practice and must be eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. The successful candidate should be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Applicants will have fellowship training in Head and Neck Oncology (or equivalent). Although the focus of this position is head and neck surgical oncology, the successful applicant must have the skills to provide Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery call as part of a team covering the largest tertiary care hospital in the province. Additional skills including advanced degrees would be beneficial; a commitment to education, research and /or other academic pursuits is required.

The candidate must be eager to work in a group setting, showing commitment to working in a collegial and supportive manner with the surgeons at the site. The successful applicant with be directly involved in undergraduate and postgraduate medical training as well as education for other healthcare providers.
