Who We Are:

New Beginnings Recovery Home is proud to be one of Canada’s first BIPOC-owned residential treatment centres focused on addiction and mental health. Situated in the GTA, we offer culturally responsive, trauma-informed care tailored to the needs of historically underserved populations.

We are currently seeking licensed physicians to join our multidisciplinary team, providing on-site assessments and/or virtual supervision for group therapy facilitation

The following positions are currently available:

1. In-Person Position (Toronto)
• Commitment: Once per week, 3–4 hours
• Compensation: $300/hour (No OHIP revenue split)
• Role: Conduct patient assessments and provide treatment plan recommendations

2. Virtual Position
• Commitment: Monday to Friday, 4 hours of group therapy per day (total) – supervision or facilitating
• Compensation: Negotiable hourly rate plus OHIP revenue split
• Role: Co-facilitate during group therapy sessions or provide supervision/oversee groups before or after sessions *Both positions require physicians to be registered under our group billing structure.

What We’re Looking For:
• Licensed MD in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
• Eligible to bill OHIP, either independently or through a group billing arrangement
• Familiarity with K-codes and other OHIP-funded mental health billing structures
• Prior experience in addiction medicine, family psychiatry, or community mental health (asset, not required)
• Comfortable delivering services via virtual platforms, when needed
• Committed to an anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, and client-centered approach to care

Availability & Scheduling:
• Flexible scheduling — evenings and weekends welcomed
• Intake assessments typically last 20–40 minutes

Compensation Structure:
We offer a flexible compensation model, which may include:
• Hourly consulting rates
• Per-assessment fees f
• Split-billing on eligible OHIP services (e.g., K counselling codes, admissions, assessments)
All terms negotiable based on scope and experience.

Billing & Collaboration Model:
• Physicians must be open to a collaborative billing agreement with New Beginnings
• Group billing registration with OHIP required to submit claims for services provided by staff (e.g., therapists, social workers)
• Revenue share applies to OHIP-billed services, with agreed-upon percentages
• Physicians gain access to: – Steady client referrals – Support staff for clinical care – Secure digital infrastructure for records and care plans – Admin support for scheduling, billing, and documentation
