This position is the senior management position responsible for the leadership and direct management of all facets of the Inpatient Department.
This position is responsible for a range of services in the area of supervision, strategic planning, financial management/budget utilization, quality
improvement/risk management, and ultimately the quality of inpatient care provided to the patients of Kings County Memorial Hospital.

This is a key provincial position to facilitate patient flow within the system. This posting reports to the Administration Community Health East.

Systems Transformation – demonstrates system/ critical thinking, encourages and supports innovation, is strategically oriented to the future, champions, and orchestrates effective language.Duties will include but not limited to:- participating as a member of the Management Team in the development and coordination of strategic/operational planning; collaborating with Health PEI staff, the Department of Health and Wellness, and other health care agencies in the design, implementation and evaluation of the provincial health care delivery system; – conferring regularly with members of the Interdisciplinary Care Team to enhance quality of care, communications and promote a team approach to patient care and utilization of resources. – ensuring achievement of staff clinical competency, implementation of professional standards, adherence to professional code of conduct, and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards; planning, monitoring and evaluating programs and services to ensure the delivery
of quality care; – providing leadership and organization development to the Inpatient Nursing Departments by directing department staff on day-to-day
activities and providing long range planning and evaluation of services. – developing and maintaining good public relations and effective working relationships with patients, the general public, other
departments. Preparing and monitoring annual operating and capital budgets, determining staffing requirements, monitoring overall Nursing

- Must possess a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or Health related degree and active or eligible for registration in the applicable registry. – Extensive experience with progressive managing and/or leadership experience in a health setting with responsibility for financial and
human resources. – Demonstrated skills in leadership, decision making, planning, communication, team building, problem solving, conflict management,
motivation, and fiscal management. – Demonstrated Equivalencies may be considered. – Excellent professional skills including time management, collaborative and consultative practice. – Have a good previous work and attendance record

Bi-Weekly Hours: 75.0 hours Bi-weekly / Days / Monday to Friday / Hours May Vary to Meet Delivery
