GLENBORO FAMILY PHYSICIAN

Work Location: On site – Glenboro Health Centre (219 Murray Ave, Glenboro, MB R0K 0X0), Glenboro Clinic (219 Warwick Ave, Glenboro, MB R0K 0X0), Carberry Health Centre (340 Toronto Street, Carberry, MB R0K 0H0 – for on-call work only). There is no option to work remotely.

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Anticipated Shift: Full Time, Days, Early Mornings, Mornings, Evenings, Nights, On Call, Weekends

Daily Hours Worked: Various hour shifts (30 to 40 hours per week)

Position Type: Fee for service

Wage Rate: Compensation is fee-for-service as per the Doctors Manitoba and Manitoba Health, Seniors and Active Living negotiated rates. Benefits are not provided, but may be purchased if the successful candidate so desired.

Position Summary

Glenboro Health Centre is an 11 bed acute care and 26 bed long term care facility. Services offered include Diagnostic, Emergency, Public Health, Mental Health, and Home Care. Glenboro shares an on call rotation with the neighbouring community of Carberry, which is a 10 bed acute care and 36 bed long term care facility.

Prairie Mountain Health is seeking a Family Physician to join the Glenboro Health Centre. Duties to include: performing all duties associated with a family practice, including diagnosing and treating diseases, physiological disorders and injuries of patients, act as the primary care provider and provide continuous care toward the management of patients’ health. The physician will also share in the Emergency Department on call schedule and will cooperate and coordinate coverage with other physician colleagues.

The successful candidate must hold a Doctor of Medicine degree Current licensure or eligible for full license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba Must be a member of CMPA or provide proof of equivalent malpractice insurance Given the cultural diversity of our region, the ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population is required Demonstrated ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job. • All Health Care workers are required to be immunized as a condition of employment in accordance with the Prairie Mountain Health policy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
