Incentives
• Eligible candidates can receive $100,000 under the provincial incentive accompanied by a 4 year return of service. • $8000 in moving expenses. New Brunswick Medical Society: Every physician licensed in the province must be a member of the New Brunswick Medical Society. With that membership, comes many benefits. Such benefits include, but are not limited to: • Supplementary funding for continuing medical education of up to $4300.00/year. • Parental leave support (FFS physicians only). NBMS has one of the best Parental Leave programs in Canada. The program pays eligible physicians $2000.00/month to a maximum of 26 consecutive weeks. Eligible physicians can continue to bill up to $1200/week of fee for service billings while in the program. • Partial reimbursement for medical liability protection cost. • Access to the MD4MD program, where any incoming physician will given support to find a Primary care provider for themselves and their family. • Access to the NBMS Wellness program. |

Education |
Qualifications:
• Must hold a valid license to practice medicine in the Province of New Brunswick • Must be a member in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick. • Must have current malpractice insurance from the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) appropriate to the category of practice. • Must be certified in ACLS. • Excellent communication, interpersonal and team-building skills. • Good attendance and work record. • Physically able to perform assigned duties. ** Horizon adheres to all privacy legislation and policies to ensure confidential patient, business, financial and employee information is disclosed only to those authorized to receive it for the purpose of fulfilling their job duties.** |

• Fulfill the CCFP recommended continuing professional development responsibilities or equivalent professional development required for his/her area of specialty. • Participate in Physician meetings and appropriate team meetings. • Comply with the policies and procedures of the Department of Family Practice. • Comply with the provisions of the Hospital Act, the Regional Health Authorities Act, Medical Services Payment Act and their regulations. • Comply with the Health Authority bylaws, rules and regulations and policies and procedures. • Follow the Code of Ethics of College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick. |

With 70 beds and a 5-bed concentrated care unit, URVH serves a catchment population of approximately 45,000. It is also a training site for the Dalhousie University Family Medicine Program.
