The Miramichi Regional Hospital is seeking a general pediatrician to establish a community practice and provide inpatient care.

- Provide comprehensive care in acute care pediatrics (NICU/PICU), developmental pediatrics, and coordinate diverse subspecialty pediatric services. – Perform clinical duties including, but not restricted to, seeing and assessing patients for routine health and illness care, prescribing treatment, arranging consults, referring to other healthcare professionals as required, and ensuring appropriate follow-up to patients. – Subject to the needs of the organization, inpatient care including daily rounds, may be required. – Teaching responsibilities for pediatric residents, medical students, and others as appropriate. – Practice in a collaborative fashion as a member of an interdisciplinary team and consult with members of other health professions as appropriate. – Participate in any on-call rotas of the Department of Pediatrics (1 in 3), as applicable. – Within the confines of this scope of practice and position description, provide other duties that may arise by circumstance and may be assigned by the Clinical Dept Head of Pediatrics, the Chief of Staff, Medical Director and/or Vice President of Medical Affairs.
