Details: Shared Health (1502-155 Carlton Street, Winnipeg MB, R3C 5R9), The University of Manitoba, and Department of Internal Medicine, Section of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (business addresses noted below), are inviting applications for an Allergist to fill our labour shortage in Manitoba. Main job duties include diagnose and treatment of diseases, prescribing medications and treatment, ordering lab tests and x-rays and other diagnostic procedures, consulting with other physicians as required, which job duties encompass 30% of the position. The successful candidate would also be eligible for appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Professor rank, and appointed as a geographical full-time member of the Max Rady College of Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba, which job duties encompasses 70% of the position. Job duties are required in English. This position is to commence on November 1, 2024 or as soon thereafter as possible. Based at Health Sciences Centre, the successful candidate will be a clinician investigator with protected research time and a proven track record in research. They will have a strong record of publications in high impact journals commensurate with their stage of career, and proven ability to obtain peer-reviewed research funding from recognized granting agencies. The applicant will have demonstrated a high capacity to successfully interact and collaborate with other clinical and basic scientists locally and/or abroad.
