The Kensington Vision Research Centre (KVRC) and the Department of Ophthalmology and Vision Sciences at the University of Toronto (DOVS) are inviting applications for the position of Uveitis Ophthalmologist. The appointment is for a full-time clinical position with an expectation of at least 20% non-clinical work (research, teaching, and academic administration). The expected start date is October 1, 2024, or another mutually agreeable date thereafter. The successful candidate will provide clinical sub-specialty care in uveitis ophthalmology and will also participate in on-call duties. The successful candidate will assume care of patients in an existing clinical practice. The candidate will participate in the teaching of medical students, residents and fellow and will add to the body of knowledge through original research. The successful candidate should possess research interest and aptitude as evidenced by advanced fellowship training and publication history. The candidate must hold an MD degree or equivalent, have fellowship training in uveitis. The candidate should be eligible for an academic appointment at the University of Toronto at the rank of assistant professor or higher. The candidate must currently hold or be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. This position is resourced with clinic space. Location of position will be primarily at Kensington Vision Research Centre at 340 College Street, Toronto, Ontario M5T 3A9, and various other locations in Toronto, Ontario including: Academic rank, remuneration and contractual arrangements will be commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate, with a minimum of $352,614 annually based on an Alternative Funding Plan and fee-for-service.
