Full-time hours for a salaried physician is defined as 37.5 hours per week; and
Full-time contract-for-service hours is based on a maximum of 1,725 hours per year.

Physicians have the option of choosing a salary, contract-for-service, or fee-for-service payment modality. The successful candidate must have certification or eligible by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) with FRCPC in Internal Medicine;
Must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of PEI; and
US Boards are also acceptable.

Atlantic Registry

Starting May 1, 2023, physicians whose primary practice is in Atlantic Canada (and hold a general registration in either PEI, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia or Newfoundland and Labrador) may be eligible to obtain registration to practice in all four Atlantic Canadian provinces via the Atlantic Registry.
