Health PEI is seeking a 1.0 permanent full-time equivalent General Radiologist to join the provincial Department of Diagnostic Imaging. Based out of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown, PEI, the physician shall join a group of nine Radiologists providing provincial coverage at two provincial hospital sites, in a fully equipped community practice. The candidate is expected to provide the full scope of Diagnostic Imaging. The candidate must be comfortable with interpretation of General X-ray, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, CT, and MRI. Ability to interpret Nuclear Medicine would be an asset. |

Full-time hours based on 1.0 FTE

Qualification Requirements

Education |
Eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Prince Edward Island;
Eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada; Hold MCCQE Part I or Licentiate of Medical Council of Canada (LMCC) equivalent; Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA); Appointment to the Health PEI Medical Staff and appropriate privileging; Work experience preferable with at least 1- 2 years of clinical experience working in Canada; Formal leadership training would be considered an asset. Atlantic Registry Starting May 1, 2023, physicians whose primary practice is in Atlantic Canada (and hold a general registration in either PEI, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia or Newfoundland and Labrador) may be eligible to obtain registration to practice in all four Atlantic Canadian provinces via the Atlantic Registry.
