Community Description
Petitcodiac is a small community with a big heart located along the Petitcodiac River from which it takes its name. We are a self-contained community with a full range of services from health care to education, recreational facilities and a downtown retail area. From the quietness of the downtown park gazebo to the packed attendance at the Westmorland County Fair, to the screams of laughter in the outdoor pool, and the rivalry of hockey teams at the arena; the feeling of community surrounds you.
While the municipality and its elected endeavor to provide a broad range of opportunities and services to all, it is really the pride of our residents that makes our community great. That can be seen by the many volunteers and volunteer organizations that provide much of the framework that sustains our community. The location of Petitcodiac on the corridor between the cities of Moncton and Saint John places it in an ideal location for continued growth. Visit the Village’s website at www.petitcodiac.ca
