Shared Health Manitoba (1502-155 Carlton Street, Winnipeg MB R3C 5R9) and the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (locations noted below) invite applications for permanent, full-time (1.0 EFT) House Medical Officer (HMO) positions in Neonatal Medicine at two tertiary neonatal units located in Winnipeg Manitoba; the Health Sciences Centre and St. Boniface General Hospital.
Duties include the ongoing care for patients in the neonatal units, including resuscitation and stabilization of neonates. At Health Sciences Centre, there are three Neonatal Intensive Care services with a total of 60 beds; at St. Boniface General Hospital there is a combined Intensive and Intermediate Care Unit with 30 beds. Each hospital has over 5,000 deliveries per year. Job duties are in English.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate must hold a Doctor of Medicine Degree with specialization in neonatal-perinatal medicine. The successful candidate must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. Applicants must have 3-6 months experience in neonatal intensive care.

Compensation:

Remuneration is in accordance with the collective agreement between Shared Health and Doctors Manitoba at $310,632/annum. Benefits include pension, dental, prescription drugs, extended health coverage and a healthcare spending account. Specialty Physicians may be eligible for a recruitment incentive.
