The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a psychiatrist to provide care and
psychiatric consultation to geriatric patients over the age of 50. Duties include psychiatric consultation and follow up of outpatients, teaching and supervision of medical students and psychiatry residents, and participation in research and other academic activities. Extensive prior experience with an older adult population care is required. This position will also involve providing psychiatric care as the most responsible physician to residents of a transitional housing unit at our partner institution, LOFT Community Services.

CAMH, together with the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto, has a strong tradition in the integration of clinical, teaching and research activities.

Applicants must possess a MD or equivalent degree, be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. Candidates should also be eligible for an academic appointment at the rank of Lecturer, Assistant or Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto. English language proficiency is required.

Remuneration
This is a full-time permanent role and remuneration is in accordance with the compensation of a
psychiatrist in the province of Ontario (a guaranteed income ranging from $270,000 to $330,000 per year partially based on fee for service earnings in addition to income from the Alternate Funding Plan and other sources of income; 6 weeks of vacation; other benefits provided below.
