The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) and the University of Manitoba, Department of Surgery (business addresses noted below), are inviting applications for a full-time Vascular Surgeon to fill our labour shortage in Manitoba. Main job duties include diagnose and treatment of diseases of the vascular system, ordering lab tests and x-rays and other diagnostic procedures, consulting with other physicians as required, and medical research, which job duties encompass 85% of the position.

The successful candidate would also be eligible for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, and appointed as a geographical full-time member of the Max Rady College of Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba, which job duties encompasses 15% of the position. Job duties are required in English.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate must hold a Doctor of Medicine Degree with specialization in vascular surgery. The successful candidate must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba.

Compensation:

Compensation is derived from fee-for-service income (range $326,000 – $500,000/annual). Specialty Physicians may be eligible for a recruitment incentive. Please contact physicianrecruitment@sharedhealthmb.ca for further information.
