The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Timmins and District Hospital, located in Northeastern Ontario, is looking for a full-time OB/GYNE to add to our existing complement of 3.

As an OB/GYNE in Timmins, you can expect to work with a very collegial group of family-oriented OB/GYNE’s that often assist each other in the OR. An average week for our team includes 2-3 office days, 1 OR day, and a 1 in 5 on-call rotation.

Timmins and District Hospital is a 211-bed fully accredited referral and teaching hospital, and offers a full range of emergency, medical, surgical, critical care, pediatric, long-term care, and mental health services. We are a level IIb center with approximately 700 deliveries per year and deliver down to 34 weeks. The successful candidate will serve a population of approximately 42,000 and a catchment area of 110,000.

In Timmins, you can enjoy a low-cost living center where access to the outdoors is at your doorstep. We are a 1hr flight from Toronto via Porter or Air Canada. Enjoy one of the largest Nordic ski and snowshoe clubs in Canada within the city center with night skiing available. We are also in close proximity to downhill skiing at Mount Jamieson Resort.

Applicants must hold Canadian citizenship and must hold or be eligible for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada as well as the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
