Position Summary

Altona Clinic requires the services of a full-time, Fee For Service Family Physician. This busy rural clinic serves Altona and surrounding area. Altona is a beautiful rural community with friendly people. It is 1 hour south of Winnipeg. The clinic has 4 family physicians and 2 LPN’s. The clinic hosts the Accuro EMR system and is staffed to fully support your practice needs, including billing.

The practice would include primary care, hospital in-patient care, emergency room shifts and personal care home duties. Altona Community Memorial Hospital is a 23 bed acute care hospital with 12 hour emergency services, with plans to expand to 24 hours when staffing allows.

Eastview Place is a 65 bed personal care home attached to the hospital.

Qualifications

Must be eligible for registration and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba To provide emergency coverage at any acute care centre in the region you must have current ACLS and PALS certification Proficiency in both official languages is essential for target and designated bilingual positions Given the cultural diversity of our region, the ability to respect and promote a cultural diverse population is required Demonstrated ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality including paper, electronic formats and other mediums Good work and attendance record
Conditions of Employment

Requires a valid Class 5 driver’s license, an all-purpose insured vehicle and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.00.
