ROLE AND FACILITY INFORMATION Northern Health is seeking Emergency Physicians to provide LOCUM Emergency Room coverage in FORT ST JOHN. The Emergency Room sees 25,000+ visits per year, currently covered by 3 full time Emergency Physicians with assistance from other Family Physicians in the community. One week of locum coverage is desired, or weekend coverage (Friday afternoon to Monday morning). REEF (Rural Emergency Enhancement Funding) and MOCAP (Medical On Call Availability Program) available on top of MSP billings, plus additional Rural Premium of 21.35%. Locum housing may be available. Fort St John Hospital is a state-of-the-art 55 bed hospital and 123 bed residential care facility serving a population of approximately 23,000 and is one of two area Emergency Rooms serving a catchment area of approximately 70,000. Air Canada and WestJet provide numerous daily flights to/from Vancouver and Calgary; Central Mountain Air provides regular service to/from Prince George and Edmonton.
