Details: Shared Health and the University of Manitoba, Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery, invite applications for a full-time academic Rhinologist/Endoscopic Skull Base Surgeon to commence on July 1, 2022 (or on a date mutually agreed upon). This is a geographical full-time, contingent position and the successful candidate will be eligible for an appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor (or higher depending on current academic rank) in the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, Max Rady College of Medicine at the University of Manitoba. The position encompasses inpatient and ambulatory patient care responsibilities and requires individuals with clinal and teaching skills to further the aims of the undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research and tertiary care medicine. The candidate will be expected to conduct independent research and supervise postgraduate trainees conducting research. The position will be located primarily at Health Science Centre, with secondary responsibility at other sites within the Region. The Program incorporates a rich mix of emergent and elective Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery. The Health Sciences Centre Winnipeg provides comprehensive Otolaryngology care to a population base of 1.2 million people. Qualifications: Candidates must be eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. Preference will be given to Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Fellows. Applicants who have specialty qualifications in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery in their country of current practice and hold eligibility for Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada for certification may also be considered. Fellowship training in Rhinology/Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery is required. Additional skills including advanced degrees would be beneficial; a commitment to education, research and /or other academic pursuits is desirable. Compensation: Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
