Join a team-based Primary Care Network. Be a part of the supportive and collegial team at the Mackenzie Family Health Clinic with this incredible 0.50 FTE opportunity. Scope will include outpatient clinic Monday to Friday, shared 24 hour on-call duties (dedicated ER only with no booked clinic patients) roughly 1 in 5, inpatient management and lumps and bumps days. The clinic houses 8 exam rooms, and the hospital has 4 ER bays, 5 acute care beds and 4 long term care beds. All services are housed within the Mackenzie Hospital making for convenient inpatient rounding. X-ray, lab, mental health and addictions counseling and homecare services are available. The team serves a population of roughly 3800 residents locally, as well as seasonal workers in the region. We enjoy a relaxed and supportive environment within our group and welcome new rural grads transitioning into full practice, and experienced rural physicians. Local recreation services in Mackenzie include a Rec centre with ice rink, fitness room and swimming pool, 30 km of groomed cross country ski trails, Arts centre which hosts visual arts, pottery and music nights and a community garden. The town is family oriented with opportunities for hockey, figure skating, swim club, lacrosse and baseball among others. There are two schools, Morfee Elementary School and Mackenzie Secondary School. Morfee Lake offers a sandy beach and miles of hiking trails. Powder King Ski resort is a 45 minute drive from town. For outdoors enthusiasts, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, hunting, sledding, snowshoeing and hiking are all readily accessible.
