Northern Health is seeking a family physician to care for our Geriatric population in Quesnel, BC. This is a 0.50 FTE position. Your role will include assessment, diagnosis and recommendations for the purposes of care planning. A Certificate of Added Competence in Care of the Elderly or similar experience working with older adults would be ideal. There is an option to increase the FTE up to a full 1.0 FTE with various Family Practice work in the community, such as: UPCC shifts, FP Oncology (funding for training may be available), ER shifts, Surgical Assists, OAT clinic shifts (training required – assistance with training available), and community short term locums. We welcome NEW to practice physicians and have several supports available to ensure that your transition into the community and practice is as smooth and as enjoyable as possible. We offer flexible remuneration options such as Contract Based Payment to ensure a tranquil transition to practice. GR Baker Memorial Hospital is a 36 bed acute care facility. Services on-site include: - Internal medicine – Obstetrics and Gynecology – Otolaryngology – General Surgery – Psychiatry – Community cancer clinic If you have a passion for adventure and rural medicine, this could be the opportunity for you! Dunrovin Park Lodge is a complex care facility with 117 beds. The facility consists of complex care, hospice, respite and special care unit. Maple House is a secured unit with 20 beds and 1 respite bed specifically for residents requiring more supervision. Hospice Care Unit has 3 Hospice Palliative care beds and 3 respite beds. Complex Care is made up of 91 beds in the following areas: Jack Pine; Mountain Ash; Sugar Loaf; Lodge/Moose Heights; Blackwater. Each area has its own dedicated dining lounge.
The building features many amenities and services including an activities room with a robust activity program, private dining rooms, indoor lounges and outdoor courtyards. Additional amenities include a hair salon, portable projector screens, portable computer access, board room, library, elder kitchen, nail/foot care and a sensory therapy. |
