Effective July 1, 2021 the Division of Hematology Oncology, Department of Paediatrics at the Hospital for Sick Children which is an academic health science centre dedicated exclusively to children, affiliated with the University of Toronto, is recruiting a pediatric hematologist/oncologist for a full-time 3-year contract position in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Section.

The Section includes members with clinical, translational and basic research interests in ALL, AML, Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphomas and histiocytic disorders, such as the development and implementation of novel precision medicine and immunologic therapies, supportive care and other cancer control initiatives, population-based outcomes research, quality improvement and Global Health pediatric cancer care opportunities.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic interprofessional care team. The individual will provide care to patients in the leukemia and lymphoma section in the inpatient and ambulatory settings with responsibilities which include procedures and participation in out of hours clinical coverage. They will be supported in making a substantial contribution to the research and teaching missions of the Division.

All candidates must be able to function proficiently in English, hold an MD, MBBS or equivalent thereto and be certified or eligible for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or have comparable qualifications. Candidates must hold or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.

The successful candidate must be eligible for an academic appointment at the University of Toronto. Salary will be $170,000 per annum and rank will be commensurate with qualifications. The successful candidate may be eligible for medical and dental benefits. This position will remain open until filled.
