full time Pathology at Northern Health Authority
Prince George, British Columbia
Job ID: 16546

Applications are invited for a pathologist position at the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia (UHNBC). Our department receives approximately 20, 000 surgical specimens annually from UHNBC and the surrounding area. We support general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, urology, plastic surgery, orthopedic surgery, ophthalmology and ENT practices. Family physicians, dermatologists, radiologists, gastroenterologists, respirologists and other clinical specialties are also important contributors to our anatomical pathology work.

Clinical pathology is a large part of our practice, including direct interpretation of clinical specimens/assay results (eg. bone marrows, peripheral smears, protein electrophoresis etc.), consultation with clinical colleagues and medical leadership/oversight of transfusion, microbiology and chemistry laboratories in a local and regional setting.

We are looking for an anatomical/general pathologist who will maintain the highest possible standards of practice and is motivated to participate in medical leadership and oversight.
