The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) and the University of Manitoba, Department of Surgery invite applications for an adult Orthopaedic Surgeon (6 month locum) to commence as soon as possible. The successful candidate will join the orthopaedic group at Grace Hospital in Winnipeg, MB.

The successful candidate will join an established and cohesive group of fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeons. Team cohesiveness has been key to the success of the Grace orthopaedic group. Therefore, the successful candidate must have a team-oriented approach to clinical work and appropriate supportive skills to achieve these goals.

The expected on-call commitment will be 1 in 10. Operating time and cast clinic space will be provided. Private office space will be arranged by the successful locum candidate.

Qualifications:

Successful applicants must be certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or international equivalent, be eligible for registration by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba, and, must have completed at least one year of fellowship training in adult orthopaedic primary and revision hip/knee arthroplasty. The successful candidate will also have the ability to deal with non-complex trauma and infections.

Compensation:

Compensation is derived from fee-for-service income.
