The BCHS Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology is a collegial team of obstetricians that is
looking for an Obstetrician/Gynecologist to join their team. As designated Level II prenatal
community based hospital, the department manages the obstetrical unit (average 1,400
deliveries annually) and generalist obstetrical cases. Typical gynecological caseload includes
laparoscopic hysterectomies, routine prolapse repairs, hysteroscopies, colposcopies etc.

The successful candidate will have assigned resources available including Operating Room,
ACU clinic time and will participate in the OB/GYNE on-call in accordance with the department
schedule. They will also be joining a group OB/GYNE practice in the community.

This position represents an opportunity to join a group of dedicated healthcare professionals in
a progressive organization. Interested physicians must have independent practice license from
the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and an obstetrics and gynecology fellowship
from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent (e.g. American
Board).

As a McMaster University Mac-CARE teaching site for the Grand Erie Six Nations, the
successful candidate would be expected to participate in teaching of undergraduate and
postgraduate medical learners thus excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to an inter-professional care model are also essential.
