Details: Shared Health and The University of Manitoba, Department of Surgery (business addresses noted below), are inviting applications for a Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon to fill our labour shortage in Manitoba. Main job duties include diagnose and treatment of diseases, prescribing medications and treatment, ordering lab tests and x-rays and other diagnostic procedures, consulting with other physicians as required, and medical research, which job duties encompass 70% of the position. The position encompasses inpatient and ambulatory patient care responsibility and requires individuals with clinical and teaching skills to further the aims of the undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research and tertiary care medicine. The Program incorporates a rich mix of emergent and elective Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery. The Health Sciences Centre Winnipeg provides comprehensive Orthopedic surgical care to a population base of 1.2 million people. Qualifications: The successful candidate must hold a Doctor of Medicine Degree with specialization in Pediatric Orthopedics. The successful candidate must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. At least one year of pediatric orthopedic fellowship is preferred. Compensation: Compensation is a minimum income guarantee of $428,400.00/annually.
