The Ottawa Hospital (TOH) is seeking family physicians to provide clinical services for subacute patients at the TOH satellite sites in the East-End and West-End of Ottawa.

Our Transitional Care Units are expanding and we are currently hiring starting April 1, 2023, with ongoing recruitment thereafter for further expansion.

Our program offers flexible arrangements to fit hospitalist medicine into outpatient practices.

Practice Setting:
• The Ottawa Hospital – Satellite Campuses in the East-End and West-End of Ottawa
• Transitional Care Units (TCUs) for patients who have completed their acute inpatient stay and are awaiting disposition planning
• EPIC EMR – full training provided

The Ideal Hospitalist candidate will:
• Strive for excellent patient care
• Possess great interdisciplinary collaboration skills
• Be Family Medicine (CCFP) trained
• Have subacute hospitalist experience
• Have excellent English language communication skills; French would be an asset
• Possess an independent license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
• Be registered in good standing with the CMPA

Work Expectations:
• Provide inpatient care for Subacute Medical Inpatients
• Workload is flexible based on physician preferences
• Both part time and full time options are available
• Home call is required, rotating with other colleagues to provide on-call coverage
