The Department of Internal Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Manitoba, and Shared Health Manitoba invite applications for Physicians in the Department of Internal Medicine. The successful applicant will work closely with the Section of General Internal Medicine to provide inpatient care at the Health Sciences Center and Grace Hospital.

The 69 faculty members in general internal medicine form a section that oversees the major in-patient and out-patient clinical care services at the three teaching hospitals in Winnipeg. Section physicians provide clinical attending services on 6 Clinical Teaching Units, in-patient Consult Services, and numerous ambulatory care clinics at Winnipeg’s tertiary care centres and acute care hospitals.

The successful applicant will provide comprehensive, integrated care, treatment and support to all patients within General Internal Medicine. As part of the health care team, these Physicians must be able to interact in a positive manner with other members of the team, patients and their families to create a pleasant working environment and to provide optimal patient care.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have qualifications in General Internal Medicine in the country of current practice and must be eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. Certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada is preferred.
This is a nil academic daily stipend plus fee for service position, with a start date of March 1, 2023 or as soon thereafter as possible based on the successful candidate’s availability, for a term to be negotiated renewable upon favorable review.

Compensation:

Compensation is derived from fee-for-service income.
