Prairie Mountain Health is seeking a Radiologist to join the Radiology group at the Brandon Regional Health Centre

Brandon’s 313-bed Regional Health Centre Diagnostic Services include radiology, ultrasound, CT, and MRI as well as Nuclear medicine support. The Radiology group provides service to a large geographic catchment area. There is a wide range of specialist services available on site including Pediatrics, Obs/Gyne, general and orthopaedic Surgery, Nephrology, Psychiatry General Internal Medicine and Cardiology.

Prairie Mountain Health covers an area of 66, 201 square kilometers on the southwestern side of the Province of Manitoba with a population of 169,760. The region includes 115 towns and communities including the city of Brandon which is the referral center for a catchment of nearly 200,000, 14 First Nations communities, and four French language communities.

Prairie Mountain Health employs over 8,500 people and operates 22 acute care/transitional facilities and 42 long-term care facilities. There are 170 primary care physicians and 67 specialists providing medical services in the area. Brandon is a thriving city with a population of over 48,800, located 200 km west of Winnipeg on the TransCanada Highway. It is large enough to supply all the retail, medical, educational and cultural needs on a daily basis and small enough to avoid high costs of living and long commutes to the workplace. Brandon University has a significant reputation in music, general arts and science programs. Assiniboine Community College provides a wide range of education options. Riding Mountain National Park is one hour north of the city, and the Peace Gardens are situated on the Manitoba/North Dakota border just over an hour to the south. There are numerous other recreational areas in Western Manitoba.

There are also multiple teaching opportunities if this is of interest to the applicant.

Language: English Criminal Record check, child and adult abuse checks, immunization records are required. Benefits are not provided but may be purchased if the successful candidate so desired.
Qualifications:

FRCP or eligibility for Royal College of Canada certification Current or eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Manitoba Must be a member in good standings with CMPA
Compensation:

Remuneration will be fee-for-service. Rates are paid in accordance with the Doctors Manitoba and Manitoba Health, Seniors and Active Living negotiated rates. Earning potential between $400,000.00-$800.000.00/year
