Developmental Pediatrician – Permanent Opportunity

Horizon Health Network is inviting applications for a permanent, full-time Developmental Pediatrician. The position will be located at the Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation (SCCR) in Fredericton, the tertiary neurological rehabilitation centre for the province of New Brunswick. SCCR cares for persons with complex neurological conditions of all age groups.

The successful candidate would join the current pediatric group, including one Developmental Pediatrician and two Pediatric Physiatrists, to run an out-patient service in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team of therapists. Clinical responsibilities would involve consultative services for children and youth with autism spectrum disorder and other complex neurodevelopmental disorders.

The department is affiliated with Dalhousie University, Memorial University and the University of New Brunswick. There are many opportunities to participate in classroom and clinical teaching of medical students and residents. Research activity is encouraged and supported, and the SCCR has a robust interdisciplinary research program.

Compensation will be based on the Medical Pay Plan as per the New Brunswick Policy on Salaried Physicians, and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Education
The successful applicant must have an MD or equivalent. They must also have FRCPC certification in Pediatrics, and subspecialty certification in Developmental Pediatrics with the Royal College of Physicians of Canada and be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick.
