Position Summary:
The physician shall establish a comprehensive full-time community-based practice in Internal Medicine specializing in Infectious Disease care, providing both inpatient and outpatient services under the auspices of the Medical Specialties Program and participate in the on-call rota of the Department of Internal Medicine at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.

Remuneration is based on the Medical Pay Plan  
Billing / Overhead Split
Vacation / CME Leave
20 days vacation per year (Vacation year is July1 – June 30. Credits increase to 25 days per year with >15 years of service.)
up to 10 continuing education days per fiscal year (CME year is April 1 – March 31. Number of days is pro-rated in first year of employment. Days may carry over 2 fiscal years.) 
Additional Benefits
Statutory holidays (7.5 hrs) as observed by the Health Authority
1.25 days sick credits/month to a maximum of 240 days

The Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital is located in the City of Fredericton, the capital of New Brunswick.

The Chalmers Hospital is a regional referral hospital with all major surgical services on site with the exception of cardiac and neurosurgery. With 314 beds and a 9-bed closed intensive care unit, the Chalmers Hospital serves a catchment population of approximately 166,000.

The Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital provides undergraduate and graduate education experience for approximately 20 health disciplines and is a certified partner of the Dalhousie University Family Medicine program, the University of New Brunswick nursing program, and offers the only Clinical Pastoral Education internship program and certification in New Brunswick.
