This position is ideal for new and/or retired physicians, or a physician wanting to make a change from office duties. Training to complete the Canadian Diagnostic FASD Adult Assessment will be provided. . We are the only Adult FASD Diagnostic Clinic in BC and have been operational for 7 years. We provide outstanding service to all patients and the families we work with who are over age 15. The average age of cllients is 27. Our present physician is an International Expert on FASD who has published and speaks at international conferences. He is willing to mentor new recruits. Physicians can work their own hours – as much or as little as they choose; some work is face to face and some is through video. The main clinic is in Vernon, BC but we do assessments across the entire province, so location may not be an issue. The referral demand is increassing and we need more physicians to meet the need. |

| Additional Benefits |
We are considered a medical clinic so physican benefits are able to be accessed. If mileage is required, it is paid at the provincial rate.

Qualification Requirements

Residents are accepted..
Family Physician registered with the College of Physicians |
| Experience |
No direct experience with FASD is needed. Mentoring and training from the Canadian research Council on FASD will be provided. Experience communicating with families who have a loved one with a developmental disability would be helpful.
