The Moncton Hospital, a facility within Horizon Health Network, is looking for a locum Thoracic Surgeon. The department at present consists of five general surgeons, two hepatopancreatobiliary surgeons, two thoracic and two vascular surgeons. Applicants must be eligible for licensure in New Brunswick and hold subspecialty certification in Thoracic Surgery. Applicants will be expected to deliver appropriate inpatient and outpatient services in the field of Thoracic Surgery and provide on-call coverage in coordination with other members of the Division of Thoracic Surgery as well as participation in the provincial on-call schedule. Remuneration |
Remuneration for the position is based on New Brunswick Medicare’s Alternate Funding Plan for Thoracic Surgery, based on credentials and experience. Financial provision to support the physician’s practice is also available. If one chooses to participate in call for another specialty, they will receive the mandated on-call stipend and fee-for-service billings plus premiums.

The Moncton Hospital is a 386-bed, tertiary and critical care facility within Horizon Health Network.
