Join, as a six-month (flexible, open to 4 months, dependent on what you are willing to cover) locum, a diverse group of Family Practitioners in Terrace, a teaching site for UBC Medicine, four Primary Care clinics, outstanding specialists support and services. During this locum coverage, you can design your practice to fit your interests – such as ER and obstetrics shifts. We welcome new grads!
Clinic coverage is at Spruce Medical Center, which uses Med Access. Flexible hours, from 9am to 3/4pm daily via telehealth, with Tuesday and Thursday in the office. Billing split is 70/30.

Summer is a perfect time to enjoy what this stunning community has to offer. Surround yourself by the gorgeous coastal mountain range and lush ancient rainforest just minutes away from the Pacific Ocean. Enjoy world-class Salmon fishing, hiking, mountain biking, swimming in the pristine lakes, canoeing, kayaking, golfing, rock-climbing, and camping. However, keep an eye out for a rare white Kermode or “spirit” bear. In the evening, relax in one of the many pubs, restaurants or the local brewery, or go dancing and see local musicians perform, or maybe attend one of the art, musical or comedian shows. Go local and shop at the Northwest biggest farmer’s market.

Terrace is a vibrant, entrepreneurial and friendly community with a medical catchment area of 31000, clean air, affordable life and housing. Historically a forestry industry, Terrace has grown into a regional service town with government and educational social services as the biggest employers as well as strong presence of construction, trades, transportation and growth in manufacturing and tourism. There are three secondary and six elementary schools, one long-distance education and one French emersion, a Northwest Community College campus and a University of British Columbia campus.

Terrace is home to Mills Memorial Hospital, a fully accredited 44 bed, acute care facility, with an average 24,700 ER visits per year. Bran new, double the current size new hospital is expected to open in 2024. Today services include:
