Southern Health-Santé Sud is currently recruiting for 1 Independent Contract Family Physicians in Swan Lake/Somerset.

The Swan Lake Medical Clinic & Place Somerset Clinic demonstrates true collaborative partnership between the surrounding communities, Southern Health-Santé Sud and the Swan Lake First Nation. The clinic in Swan Lake is conveniently located directly in the Lorne Memorial Hospital and a Nurse practitioner is part of the medical team.

This position gives the candidate the opportunity to do shared ER on-call at the Lorne Memorial Hospital located in Swan Lake, Manitoba as well as maintaining clinic coverage.

Swan Lake & Somerset are little prairie towns located on PTH 23 (just 10 minutes from each other), on the edge of the beautiful Pembina Valley. Its landscape is comprised of a multitude of grain fields broken by occasional wood lots and pothole marshes. There are numerous golf courses and fishing spots with in a 30 minute drive. Qualifications:

Must be eligible for registration and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. Given the cultural diversity of our region, the ability to respect and promote a cultural diverse population is required Demonstrated ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality including paper, electronic formats and other mediums Proficiency of both official languages is essential for target and designated bilingual positions Good work and attendance record
Compensation: Compensation is derived from Independent Contract income.
