Shared Health, and The University of Manitoba, Department of Pediatrics and Child Health(business addresses noted below), are inviting applications for a Pediatric Rheumatologist to fill our labour shortage in Manitoba. Main job duties include diagnose and treatment of diseases, inpatient and ambulatory patient care responsibilities, prescribing medications and treatment, ordering lab tests and x-rays and other diagnostic procedures, consulting with other physicians as required, teaching and medical research, which job duties encompass 90% of the position.

The successful candidate would also be eligible for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, and appointed as a geographical full-time member of the Max Rady College of Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba, which job duties encompasses 10% of the position. Job duties are required in English.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate must hold a Doctor of Medicine Degree with specialization in pediatric rheumatology. The successful candidate must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. Demonstrated administrative leadership skills are an asset.

Compensation:
Compensation is a blend of fee-for-service income plus an additional stipend of $96,712.
