Job Description
The NBRHC Department of Emergency Medicine is an innovative, efficient and collegial Department and sees an average of 150-170 patients per day and 58,000 visits annually. It is rated one of the top 15 high performing ED departments in the province. ED physicians are funded through an Alternative Funding Agreement (AFA).

Practice Hours
The Emergency Department is staffed up to 7 shifts per day

The organization is an affiliated academic teaching centre with the Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM). The preferred candidate would be expected to participate in teaching undergraduates and postgraduate medical learners.

Locum physicians receive $161.00/per hour, 37.42% of all OHIP Billings and 100% of 3rd Party/WSIB Billings.
Travel and accommodation expenses are provided, our organization follows the Health Force Ontario Northern Locum Specialty Program (NSLP) Respite Expense guidelines

The ED Staff physicians receive $120.00/per hour and 62.42% of all OHIP Billings.
