The University of Manitoba, Department of Surgery, Winnipeg Regional Health Authority and Shared Health Manitoba are seeking applications for an Academic Plastic Surgeon to join a broad practice of pediatric plastic surgery/cleft-craniofacial surgery commencing June 1, 2020. The successful candidate would be eligible for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, or higher, and appointed as a geographical full-time member of the Max Rady College of Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba. This position includes a minimum of 4 G.A. days per month, 1 local O.R. day per month and office space with support staff.


Applicants must have fellowship training in pediatric plastic surgery, be competent at congenital/pediatric hand surgery and be able to join the cleft-craniofacial team. An interest in vascular anomalies and burn surgery is beneficial. Care will be primarily based out of our main teaching hospital, Health Sciences Centre. Teaching medical students and residents within the operating room and in didactive settings is a significant component of the position. Clinical and/or basic science research is expected based on the interest of the applicant. The successful candidate must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba.


Compensation is derived from a minimum income amount.
