The Moncton Hospital, a facility within Horizon Health Network, is recruiting a long-term locum Vascular Surgeon to begin as soon as possible to work on an intermittent and as-needed basis. Experience in open vascular surgery is necessary. The department at present consists of six and a half general surgeons, two thoracic, two vascular surgeons and hepatopancreatobiliary surgeon. Applicants must be eligible for licensure in New Brunswick and hold subspecialty certification in Vascular Surgery. Applicants will be expected to participate in the call schedule and teaching of residents. The hospital has two endovascular suites, two state of the art MIS suites as well as a new outpatient complex including an up-to-date GI/endoscopy suite, clinics and minor OR suites.

Standard remuneration is fee-for-service which is a direct compensation between the physician and Medicare.

Qualification Requirements
The Department of General Surgery, including the Vascular Division, requires that their members have passed the examination of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in their specialty in order to be eligible for active membership. In special circumstances, the Division of Vascular Surgery will consider physicians with FRCS (C) equivalency, i.e. who have passed American Boards or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of the United Kingdom examinations and who are guaranteed full licensure from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick. Canadian applicants are preferred.

Must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick.
