We are seeking a qualified General Neurologist and a Stroke Neurologist to practice neurology at PRHC, while joining Queen’s University Department of Medicine, Division of Neurology.
The successful candidate will be eligible for a competitive compensation package, including; an opportunity for income stability through an AFA, a generous benefit plan (medical, dental, life insurance, long-term disability, semi-private hospital, and out of country coverage), paid vacation time and a relocation package.
Community-based neurology practice working onsite
at PRHC 46 weeks of the year: – Overhead-free neurology outpatient clinic with
neuroimaging and clerical support – Opportunity to grow a hospital-wide inpatient
consultation service – EEG/EMG equipment and technician on-site – Designated provincial District Stroke Centre, awarded
Stroke Distinction by Accreditation Canada in 2018
Academic Neurology dedicating 4 – 6 weeks
of the year to Queen’s University: – Access to academic resources including education
rounds and collaborative research – Support on call and inpatient consults – Participate in teaching residents at Queens – Opportunity to develop and support a community-based residency rotation

Qualification Requirements
Education
• Currently registered with or eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
• Fellow Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
• EEG certification an asset 
Experience
Interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with physicians, nursing, staff, patients, directors, managers,
and the community as required
• Strong leadership skills in an academic and hospital setting
• Evidence of the ability to work in a collaborative environment with excellent communication skills
• Eligible for staff privileges at Peterborough Regional
Health Centre
• Evidence of ongoing continued medical education
