DIVISION OF ENDOCRINOLOGY
THE HOSPITAL FOR SICK CHILDREN

A one year contract faculty position (0.8FTE) with a possibility of renewal for a second year at a 1.0 FTE in the Division of Endocrinology, Department of Paedatrics at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), 555 University Ave., Toronto, ON which is an academic health science centre dedicated to the care of children; affiliated with the University of Toronto is available effective July 1, 2019. Please note that during the second year, a permanent 1.0FTE position will be advertised, and there is opportunity to apply for this position.

The Division of Endocrinology brings together significant interdisciplinary and inter-professional activities within General Endocrinology and Diabetes, along with specialty clinics such as Transgender Medicine, Obesity, Gynecology-Endocrinology, Multi-Disciplinary Urogenital, Late Effects Endocrine Oncology, Calcium and Bone Health. The Division of Endocrinology at The Hospital for Sick Children promotes these activities through seamless integration of research activities, academic performance and exemplary clinical care. SickKids is an academic health sciences centre dedicated exclusively to health outcomes in paediatric children provincially, internationally and is affiliated with the University of Toronto.

The primary roles of the Endocrinologist will include clinics in General Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Calcium and Bone Health in addition to 6 weeks on service/on call. The role will also include participation in academic rounds and teaching, and scholarly activity.

The successful candidate must be eligible for an academic appointment at the University of Toronto. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. All candidates must be able to function proficiently in English

All candidates must hold an M.D. or equivalent and must have completed subspecialty training in Endocrinology for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Candidates must hold or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
