The Department of Pediatrics and Child Health, Max Rady College of Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Manitoba and the Palliative Care and Child Health, Winnipeg Regional Health Authority, are seeking applications for the position of Section Head, Pediatric Palliative Care.

The Section Head, Pediatric Palliative Care, in addition to clinical practice, is responsible for administrative leadership, education, research, standards and quality within the section.

Qualifications:

Applicants are preferably certified in Pediatrics or have certification in Palliative Medicine with foundational training in Family Medicine. A minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical palliative care is preferred with a focus on pediatric palliative care. Candidates must be eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. The ideal candidate possesses a strong affinity and track record in clinical and academic leadership.

Compensation:

Remuneration is derived from FFS as well as a clinical stipend. Physicians may be eligible for a recruitment incentive. Please contact physicianrecruitment@wrha.mb.ca for further information.

The Department of Pediatrics and Child Health is comprised of more than 90 geographical full-time physicians representing all Pediatric Subspecialties, as well as with 6 full time PhD Scientists and many more primary affiliated Faculty Members. The WRHA Palliative Care Program is highly regarded nationally and internationally for excellence in patient care.
