The Department of Pediatrics and Child Health, University of Manitoba and the Children’s Hospital- Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba are seeking a developmental pediatrician to join the Section of Child Development. The Section provides diagnostic services to children with developmental disabilities, learning and behaviour problems in a multidisciplinary setting with rural outreach clinics included. The incumbent will act as clinician educator within the Section of Child Development providing exemplary standard of care in diverse areas of developmental pediatrics, excellence in teaching, and participation in scholarly activities as applicable.

The Department of Pediatrics and Child Health is comprised of more than 90 geographical full-time physicians representing all Pediatric Subspecialties, as well as with 6 full time PhD Scientists and many more primary affiliated Faculty Members. The Child Development Program is highly regarded for excellence in patient care, education and research. Research and continuing education are an integral part of the program, that has a strong reputation for inter-disciplinary collaboration and patient centered care.

Qualifications

Applicants must be certified in Pediatrics and certified in, or eligible for certification in Developmental Pediatrics by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Candidates must be eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba.

Compensation

The available position is based on Fee for Service billing and a Non-Salaried Rank appointment to the Department of Pediatrics.
